question on the denon 1909 amp restorer mode ?

i am putting my laptop into the amp via hdmi to listen to spotify it sounded poor then i selected restorer mode3 which has made it miles better. What does the part it will be 44.1 or 48 kHz mean?

It means the output into the receiver's digital to analogue conversion will be at a sample rate of 44.1kHz or 48kHz, depending on the sample rate of the original signal. It will have little if any effect on the sound whether it's 44.1 or 48.
