Quality power cables, but not HiFi chunky

Years ago I wanted to put some surge protection onto the power supply so went for some done by Supra. Also bout Supra kettle leads for the amps and disc spinners. They work. Do they work better? No idea.

No, sorry, that’s not any “spec”. That’s MCRU’s own write up on the product they sell. 2.5mm thick for each conductor is quite unnecessary and makes it needlessly difficult to connect, and too stiff to route neatly. That’s my experience, but YMMV.

Belden do make cables for audio, as far as I know. This is Lapp, who look industrial to me…

I know full well who they are. But when I bought the Supra product I was not in the same county as I am no and there was not an iPhone available.

When it comes to power mains blocks star wiring is the most prefered in audio.

I have the matrix2 but it does not have protections.

The fuse in the mains plug contains wire.
That wire will be 'stock'.
Surely it will compromise the sound.
You may (rightly) think that is a ridiculous suggestion.
But with the greatest respect, it's no more ridiculous than expecting OFC to make any audible difference to a mains cable.

I have a solution for that.
I bought one of these for my kettle and my cup of tea tastes that much sweeter.

I bought this cable:

LORAD 3X2.5 BLUE B50

also bought there connectors. Looks like a good cable.

I only connected the drain wire in one end(wall plug) and not both, to prevent ground loop.

I see they've even included some medical science in with the claims - before giving an 'Electrical Chock' warning.
