Hi there

Im looking for quality powercables but not the chunky ones like wireworld, which actually can ruin the wall outlets, because of the weight.

iFi Nova also looks chunky.

is it possible to find cables with good specs and quality without this chunkyness?

Unless you are going for aesthetics (There are plenty on Amazon for minimal cost if so) stick with what came in the box as buying fancy mains cable will make absolutely no difference to the performance of you equipment, no matter what the Hi-Fi cable manufactures will try and con you into believing. (Just ask them to provide verifiable evidence to call them out)
If you believe your mains is so dirty contact your local electrical company to have them check your installation, as there will be a fault somewhere that needs fixing pronto.
If you are still paranoid about the mains, get a power re-generator to get a cleaner output and forget about so called Hi-Fi mains cables.

That has hit the nail right on the head, HiFi mains cables are the very definition of snake oil.

I got myself a Tacima CS947 to deal with so-called "dirty mains" power, and I would tell you I heard the difference - cheap and cheerful. I also got myself an Audiolab DC Block for my Audiolab M-DAC Plus, again, I would tell you there was a noticeable difference? My girlfriend would just look at me as if I'd just popped out from under a stone!! Then I upgraded the power supply for my ifi Zen Stream to the 15v version - again, I would say I heard the subtle difference?

Thank you very much. Its appreciated.

I am not looking for any sort of filtering. I rather buy a good powersupply and decide for filtering later.

clearer audio looks industrial, I like that. The prices though are pretty high. But I want quality cable. Atleast OFC, OCC is good enough.

But I just need cables that has the good material, without looking like “spaceship” power cable.

I like the look of stock cable, but I would love to find them with better copper than stock

I was in Wilkinson's hifi in Nelson (north west, near Manchester). They had some power cables in that I can't remember the name of, but they were not a known brand, small scale audio specialist. I was not in the market for them, but the guy did tell me that they were well priced for the quality - but they did look like the kind of thing you might find on a spaceship.
However, what he also said, when I am in the market, that they do put packages together of power cables for home trial.

The fuse in the mains plug contains wire.
That wire will be 'stock'.
Surely it will compromise the sound.
You may (rightly) think that is a ridiculous suggestion.
But with the greatest respect, it's no more ridiculous than expecting OFC to make any audible difference to a mains cable.

Hi,
Any within specification power cable will do. There is no need for any specialist cables, conductors or other. The equipment PSU does everything you need to eliminate anything that the power cable manufacturers claim is an issue.

Why sell £8k active speakers with a standard power supply cable ? If it mattered, then you would also be getting a "special cable" in the box too.

Regards,
Shadders.

Your ATC actives will come with completely suitable cables. What else did you want to power?

Somehow I just believe/placebo pure copper over standard/stock. OFC OCC UPOCC.
well I am also looking for some protection/powerstrip I dont wanna risk anything those speakers. A cable/powerstrip of some sort that has protection…furman?

Actually I have not yet seen the stock cables. I am one those people who believe in clean sound vs clean copper. I just want the cable to have better material :)

Pic. below shows a Wilkinson Stores standard mains block which cost around £7 in use with standard/basic mains cables btw, all supplying power to SCM100ASL Professional monitors. Anyway, if Wilko's mains block is good enough for SCM100ASL pro monitors than they're also more than good enough for SCM40A's. Simple.

I would advise you to save your time and money. Keep it simple. Simple is best (y)

Take a look here: https://www.belkin.com/uk/Products/Power/c/WSPWRSP/

Belkin are reliable and give you a warranty to cover repair or replacement costs, if something is damaged by a surge whilst connected through one of their protected extensions. Also, no HiFi price premium!

I changed mains power cables a year or so back and went with the new ones I bought.

There wasn't really any noticeable improvement at all, no night and day, no wife walking by to express wonderment at the change she'd just heard from the doorway, none of that. But I stuck with them anyway.

Which meant that the JPS Labs "The Analog" (£400) and the Russ Andrew Powerkord 100s (£150) went on Ebay and the generic £10 jobs from Amazon stayed. If you really need something to stabalise your power source, or your mains power (and in the UK, I'm massively sceptical that this is needed), then get a BT Mains Conditioning Unit off Ebay. About £100 or often much less. Won't add much to the sound, but will be the buffer you might (think you) need.

And at this length you’ll need sockets in the floor behind the speaker! Just wait until you get them.
they do come in different lengths, as do most cables....
and as you are well aware....
It Is perhaps unfortunate that they add all the other rubbish snake-oil add-on possibilities.....
