projector for under 2k?

Any advice as to what projectors i should consider for under 2k? seen the panasonic ptae 4000 for around £1550,thought this was pretty good. i will be sitting about 3.5 -4 meters from the screen,any advice on screen size/type? thanks for any advice,cheers

That sounds like a cracking deal, and it's a great projector, I've been tempted by this model myself, after owning other panasoincs in the past.

The Panasonic is a great projector but the price has dropped as it is off the mark now for the £2k price bracket - the model wasnt updated last year as expected. Our advice is to consider the Epson 4400 at £2k along with the Sony HW20. Both produce images that are brighter and more involving than the Panasonic with better colour/ black level.
