Can here its clouding the sound even in that vid.
Its a psychological battle - do you have the speakers more direct at you for the benefit of it or a like I have now for a wider soundstage and more breathing space in between. Hard in a narrow room, really hard no space. Got 2 big subs going hard so there is bass.
Dont expect a miracle over a recording but must be able to get better than this without spending much money.
Cheers for the help.

ellisdj said:That looks ideal in design. Need try and make work alongside video recording in easy way? Surely if edit it together with video post production will be like cheating. All of a sudden sounds like wilson xlfs lol
ellisdj said:You think that over a shotgun type mic?
Its cheaper which is better but more post production work. If movie maker is easy to time align then great? Cheers for the help
Vladimir said:Thats good but the DR-40 isn't that much more expensive.

Astonishing how accurate the midrange is on those KEFs (before mic breakup).

I think I the know reason for the differences in my videos I disabled the wind noise reduction feature on the camera for the Vanessa Fernandez video hence the external noise but better bass pickup. I didnt know but that is back enabled so it must turn that on auto for all videos when you power on and off.
I am going to try again today with that off and see but its not going to cut it, still going to get a proper recorder as you suggest. They seem superb and a bit of fun which is what its all about.
Just realised I have quoted the wrong post from you vlad doh!

Just thought you could always subscribe to my channel ... hahaha
ellisdj said:This is the exact same Jimmy Sax - volume etc is the same, camera slightly more on ear level but this is with my camera with the wind noise reduction turned off. I think sounds a bit rough compared to the last one but the bottom end seems picked up - like mic is saturated at times? No good.
Can you please let me know what you think? Is it good enough or still need a proper recorder? Think know the answer any way obvious really isnt it
Thanks
