I agree, music taste comes into it but it's more about the quality of the dem.

Plenty of Vids with perhaps good music but shite recording.

Still, I get your point.

Can anything be actually gained from it? Surely majority won't deliver due to poor mic/recording equipment and format of video (sound). If that's the case what can be gained? Would you perhaps shortlist equipment based on YouTube demos?

I have seen Guthrie Govan / Aristocrats play live a few times and spoken to him also,he is one of the best quitarists I have ever heard, I met him once at a Jeff Beck gig in the audience!

All of his recordings are top notch.

yep thats the one ... thanks hegel h300 i forgot what amp he was using anyway now i have seen video again it does not look so good . but like the song i heard this though my headphones and i thought at the time it sounded good

I quite like the music and it doesn't sound to bad either apart from bad room acoustics especially that nasty peak between 70 and 100 hz.

Nice dynamics.

Love those Zero-1000's!

The Otto's sound good too as do the eye sores in the third one.

What do all have in common?

Decent bass/mid drivers, none of those tiddly 5inch things.

I saw this one a few times before.

Strange, although it sounds quite impressive initially I feel that Brubeck sounds strangely rushed. Almost as if the amplifiers are in a hurry to finish the piece.

Its almost as if that lovely change of timing and lovely rythm for which they have been known isn't realised in this system or at least this vid?
