plasma vs lcd for gaming

hello , i was looking at a panasonic 46 inch plasma for my sd and hd viewing but i also want to use it for gaming

i need to get a definitive answer on can a plasma cope with gaming ie burning ? or should i go for a sony or samsung lcd ?

sd viewing is definitely better on a plasma

Hi,

Plasma can cope just fine with gaming. You just need to make sure that you set contrast correctly. Most people set contrast way too high, which can lead to image retention and eventually permanent screen burn. LCD is a safer choice.ÿ

Panel Burn is a rarity on some plasma's, my mate has a samsung-PS50A457 and plays his PS3 and I'v seen burn on that but i have a panasonic and playing COD 5 and no burn what so ever, buy a panasonic mate.
