I'm about to have a Kuro plasma air freighted out to me from the UK. Someone has just warned me of potential issues with plasma screens being affected by the involved air pressure....?

Any knowledge anyone ? What do you reckon ?

Thanks, Steve.

I'm sure companies air-ship TVs all the time, and remember reading somewhere about Panasonic's problems moving its 103in, as the hold of a 747 couldn't take it, and a specialist cargo airline had to be used.

So I guess the answer is yes, it should be fine.

Thanks Andrew.

I'll see if I can get an answer from Pioneer back there also, just to confirm.

Damien, if you see this, did you once say that your 500-M was air freighted into Australia by Pioneer ?

Sorry mate, I've been out of the loop for a while - the retailer told me it was air-freighted but I'm not sure. Given how long it took, its more likely the container was delayed but as Andrew points out, companies are air-freighting stuff all the time.
