Hi all,
be warned, my post is going to offend your vast knowledge. No need to castigate me for making a million mistakes and not knowing the first thing about audio systems, it's clear and I'm admitting it a zillion times.
So, I wanted a CD player. Got the Denon 800ne. From what I seemed to understand I needed active speakers for that, so I typed that on a shop's site (in the Czech Republic, where I live and don't speak the language) and spotted the Audio Pro n26 speakers. I thought I was done.
Didn't work. Probably because the speakers turn out to be wireless whatnots.
First stupid question: is it possible to still use, somehow, those speakers with the Denon?
Next stupid thing I did when no sound was being heard is I bought an amplifier, the Yamaha A-S701. Because the Denon's manual told me to buy one. Nothing doing still.
The speakers are connected by those wires between themselves (i-e there's only one such cable), and only one speaker has a power source.
Second stupid question: if I buy one more such cable, could I connect the speakers to the amp as normal speakers are supposed to? In other words, can I get the Yamaha amp, the Denon cd-player and the frikkin Audio Pro speakers to work together or am I doomed? And if I am, I suspect the speakers have to go. So the last question is: what type of speakers will work with the Denon and the Yam?
Thanks in advance for keeping the condescension to yourselves but putting me on the right track because my CDs are going to play themselves, sadly.
