I ordered an expensive Canon camera from simply electronics 3 weeks before Christmas. I was taken in by the price and thought everything looked OK.
The camera did not arrive within 5-10 days as promised. However, we had the snow issue and the usual seasonal sales demand. Anyway I started doing some research (which I know I should have done before the order!) and found the
http://simplyelectronicsnot.webs.com/ site that has been mentioned. I panicked and started complaining. They replied each time with polite but standard type excuses. Eventually I tried to cancel the order after xmas and they said sorry but it had been despatched. It arrived the next day and was a genuine UK spec with a full UK guarantee. They said I could return it for a full refund including carriage or if I kept it as a gesture of goodwill then they would send me a spare memory card. I kept it and the memory card arrived 2 days later.
The guy that has set up the
http://simplyelectronicsnot.webs.com/ site may have had a real issue and I accept that simply electronics small print on their terms and conditions is unnerving but I have to report that they have looked after me......eventually.
