Hi all,

I know the heat goes through the top but does area on the sides has to be free as well. I am thinking about buying av rack and there is space just to put the AMP. So there would be wood on both sides of the amp... Is it OK?

Also the whole PQL timing synchronisation (or whatever the correct name is) with lx52 blu-ray player - does it work with BDP-51FD as well - as that is what I have.

Thanks

From the manual:

VENTILATION CAUTION
When installing this unit, make sure to leave space
around the unit for ventilation to improve heat
radiation (at least 20 cm at top, 10 cm at rear, and
20 cm at each side).

Thanks Andrew,

Hmm, 20cm on the sides..... So it is no no for me then (the rack of course not the amp) ;-)

I think if it was on a rack with open sides - my Onkyo sits on a double-width Atacama Equinox - you won't have problems, but an enclosed rack could give overheating

It supposed to be something like that - it would go next to the drawer on either side. The Amp width is 420mm, the gap space is 450mm so now way 20cm on each side.
