Pioneer price hike!

I WAS in the market for some new DJ gear (2 CDJ players and a mixer).

Having spent 3-4 weeks researching and having demos I decided on what I wanted and at the beginning of April went to make a purchase only to find...the prices had increased 50% overnight!

Now a while back Meridian Man was moaning about a 4%-5% rise and I was fully in support of the manufacturers for having to do it but 50%?

Have Pioneer done this with their AV stuff also?

I know they have to protect the long term future of the company but 50% price hikes will kill their market entirely surely.

Yes, Pioneer have announced some price rises on TVs, as someone mentioned before on the Forums.

And 50%? Well, given that the pound is only worth about two thirds of what it was against the Japanese yen this time last year, you can see where they're coming from...
