Question Will small amps kill the vintage amp market?

The DSP streaming active speakers I have drain 11 watts on standby.

My washing machine was using about 8 watts when it was 'off' - which, of course, is the majority of the time.....As with everything that's not in use, I make sure off means off, with zero consumption.
