Pioneer DMP-BD35 Problem

Just hooked up a rather nice Pioneer DMP-BD35 to my 26" Samsung set and I have a rather annoying problem.

When booted up the player displays a blue background 'wallpaper'. If I select a menu box, then remove it, it leaves a 'stain' / 'outline' on the blue background which is there until I select a bigger menu box which leaves its own mark. Nightmare!

If I'm watching a movie and the scene cuts to complete black, the outline / stain of the previous frame is clearly visible! Arrrgggh!

Is this a player fault guys?

Sorry just realised I typed Pioneer instead of Panasonic!

Still got the irritating problem though....

there is an Edit feature where you could change it.

and it sounds more like a TV problem and your settings might be a bit high.

Tried changing TV settings but to no avail.

Anybody else think it could be a player fault?

Sounds like image retention to me - I'd agree with nads.
