NO, THAT JUST DIMS THE DISPLAY TIMER. I TURNED THE DVD FROM 1080P UPSCALED TO AUTO, THE HD LIGHT SWITCHED - I GUESS IF I WANT 1080P I'LL HAVE TO LOVE WITH IT - NO PROBLEM.

AH, IF ONLY I COULD. SOMEONE ELSE COMPLAINED BEFORE, MAYBE YOU?, TO WHICH I EXPLAINED THE REASONS FOR THIS.

I'm trying to watch the incredible hulk on blu ray, and everything is fine until the film starts. As the universal studios intro comes on at the beginning of the film (not when the disc is loading), I get 2 small white boxes in the top right corner of the screen, one has a small box within the box and an 'S', and the other box has a sort of speaker/ audio picture with an 'S', I'm not sure how to get rid of them - i've skipped forward a few scenes and it's still there. They're not there on the disc menu or on 3 other blu ray discs i've tried.

Is there some setting I need to change to remove these? Is it likely to be a setting in the blu ray player (pioneer bdp 51fd) or the tv (panasonic v10 plasma)?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No worries, figured it out. There are some options in the initial setup menu.
