Having finally decided on which model TV to get I now have the dilemma over which size, I will normally be sitting between 9--12 ft away and am upgrading from 37", I'm just concerned that a 10" increase may be too much. Any thoughts?

I sit a similar distance from my 42in TV (having upgraded from 40in) and it's plenty big enough. I'd find a 47in a bit overpowering.
