I think apart from John Lennon,Paul`s the best writer/musician/performer we`ve ever had in this country.Jam,Style Council,his solo stuff is all awesome,think Wild Wood and Heliocentric are my favourites.

No way,Macca was equally as good,just slightly prefer Lennon,but a fan of both,I have multiple albums by both Lennon and McCartney thanks.Definitely equal during Beatles days though,fair point.

Weller's first album, self titled is majestic - Above the Clouds!! What a track. Wild Wood and Stanley Road are both brilliant and he was really back to form with As is Now. Anyone who can write Down in a Tube Station, English Rose, That's Entertainment, You Do Something To Me etc., can only be described as special. And he is a private non attention seeking artist. Is there anyone else like him? No.
