Just been chatting to a guy in a shop who was trying to convince me that the Panasonic is a better "all round" tv compared to the Philips and I should buy the Panasonic for £1000.

So...Should I listen to him??

The G20 has had great reviews already, it's supposed to be good at upscaling which was the G10's (maybe only) downfall. I'd get it from Costco for £822.50

Never mind which is better...........are you actually buying a TV on the basis of what the salesperson said, rather than checking the TVs out yourself??

Fair point - I was just trying to establish if it is worth the effort of arranging a viewing, if it isnt going to be as good as the Philips....
