Just got my Panasonic SC-BT200 back from Richer Sounds workshop after its laser failed. I've hooked it up but just get the error message 'F76' for a couple of seconds and then it powers off. I think it may be something to do with the speaker connections (which I've double checked) as I don't get the message when I remove the cables. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yep, going back and I want a full refund or a brand new unit. Spend 3 hours faffing with it after a rough day at work and now have had no DVD player for 2 weeks which is no fun when you factor in the school holidays and my little lad.

I've always bought from RS just in case something like this happened. Now that it has we'll see how good their generally excellent reputation for customer service turns out to be. Fingers crossed.

Eh? Not sure I get your drift.

I think I know the cause of the problem if not the solution.

It appears to be something to do with the speaker outputs as the unit works fine until the final speaker connection is plugged in - then the 'F76' error appears and the unit shuts down. I have run a series of tests so that the final speaker connector inserted is different everytime to see if there is a particular connection that is to blame. But the unit fails whatever speaker connector is the last to be connected.
