Though it's not a screen that I myself would ever buy, I know that it generated enormous interest when it was released in September 2015 and all reviewers acclaimed it as the best domestic television that the world has ever seen. Its initial price was £8,000, but we are now seeing some ex-display and manufacturer-approved refurbished models for maybe half that, which is still a lot of money. But at the reduced prices, it now competes very strongly against the LG 65EF950V OLED, which is £3,599 at Currys/PC World. Anyway I thought that it might be useful to have ONE thread about the various offers that crop up on eBay and suchlike: instead of opening several threads in the Hot Deals section, we could just add new offers to this thread, which of course would rise to the top with each update.

Here's the latest offer, at four grand http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panasonic-TX-65CZ952B-65-inch-Curved-OLED-TV-SMART-3D-4K-Ultra-HD-Built-In-WiFi/322050121271?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D36243%26meid%3De1b8ae53610042d48f90d9b5a254de4b%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D201547254341

By "a bit more expensive" you mean £1,800 more! Still, for an extra four years worth of warranty ......

During the half-hour that I was in Richer Sounds this afternoon, the price of the Panasonic TX65CZ952B dropped to £5,799.
I also got quoted £5600 at my local Richer Sounds Milton Keynes after I asked for a discount.

Curved vs flat is more of an issue.

The LG doesn't go bright enough for real hdr impact according to avf so neither really are in front there may

The Panasonic I bet is more accurate and I bet is what graders use in production as a result

It's swings and roundabouts which one is better, personally I prefer the LG.

Currys are out of stock at the moment so no doubt Richer Sounds will up their price like last time!
