Iºm just starting my set up at home. I will propably buy a pair of monitor audio br6 (or maybe the rs6).

I will probably use only stereo speakers, even for movies. The question is which amplifier to buy, as I also want to have a fm tuner. Should I buy those av receivers with all integrated plus video upscaling? Or an amplifier as the marantz 6002? If I buy the marantz I also need a separate tuner. Is there anything good combined for stereo amplifier and tuner?

I hope I made myself clear here.

Thank you so much

If you're definitely sticking to stereo, then go for a stereo integrated amp - it will give a much better sound for stereo than an AV receiver for the same money. I don't think you'll find a stereo amp with an inbuilt tuner, but even if they do exist, I would argue buying separate tuner and amp will again give you a better sound for the same money.

i agree here - if you are going for stereo then get a stereo amplifier and separate tuner for a better alround performance at probably the same cost as an all in one AV.

With the AV you are paying for surround channel functionality you dont actually need - whereas stereo amplifiers will know their job and generally do it very well.
