No Sound

I have a Panasonic Plasma TV, Sony Receiver, and Sony Blu-ray Player. I have connected the Panasonic Plasma TV to my Sony receiver via HDMI. I have connected the Sony Blu-ray Player to my Sony Receiver via HDMI. Here is what I get:

Blu-ray picture and sound = great!

TV picture = great!

TV sound = no sound out of receiver speakers!

Does anyone have the answer?

Unless both the TV and receiver support Audio Return (ARC) this is exactly what you'll get, pre-ARC devices don't support audio from the TV to the amp through the HDMI connection, you'd need an additional audio connection back to the amp from the TV but without knowing exactly which model TV and receiver they are there's no way we can advise any further.

if you have VIERA link on your remote try changing viera link controll too 'home cinema' and speaker selection also too home cinema see if tht works
