New TV, now need the rest

Following loads of advice from this forum, I am taking delivery of a Panasoninc 37 PX80 on Tuesday. Now need advice on decent HDMI cable to connect to my V+ box and recomendation of a 'very good with DVD music concerts' upscaling DVD player. Budget is circa £ 1,000

Good choice of TV! For the HDMI cable, I'd choose the QED HDMI-P which is good value at £50, or the Award-winning Chord Company Silver Plus (£83) if you can run to it.

As for a good upscaling DVD player with a musical sound, try Marantz's DV7001 (£600) and save yourself some money.

What do you think about blowing it all on a Naim DVD5. I already have a Naim HIFI system. Would it be substantialy better then the Marantz ?
