New tv help

Hi all,

Looking for my first Tv around 40 or 42inchs. Got married about 6 months ago and still dont have a tv. I'm really confused by which to go for. I will mostly be watching tv at night after work. I have about 1000 to spend. Smart tv doesn't really wow me as my father giving me appletv me will do most things on iPad from sofa. I would just like good pic/sound. Not too fussed on 3d either.

Two TVS have caught my eye but any other ideas are welcome. They are the Panasonic l42dt50 which at the mo is £999 and the Samsung es8000 which is also £999

am I better to wait a few weeks or months for the new TVA to come out and wait for price drop? Or should I grow a set and just go buy a tv lol.

If anyme could help me it would b great cus frankly i sick of thinking about it and my wife is sick of hearing about it.

If i were you i would look at the reviews & see which one you prefer, i don't think their is a right or wrong answer, neither tv is perfect & you could find fault with either one but to get you started panasonic tv review here & samsung tv review here.
