Looks good to me. Also look at the Super-Fi NAD/Q-Acoustics system at a similar sort of price. Either would make an excellent first buy and give you lots of pleasure. Its amazing how much performance under £400 can buy.

I dont doubt that the CA stuff will sound ok but looks wise i feel they look terrible, look like something your mum would buy you 4 christmas, to play your cds on,in your bedroom when you where 14! .rga

Yes, but it's the sound quality that matters! Looks aren't everything.

Personally I think they look a lot better than other budget makes, eg NAD

For a 14-year-old, the CA looks are more than enough + the sound.

Nothing wrong with the looks of either CA or NAD in my view. Simple and functional with largely decent ergonomics, and built to decent standards. Plus, if they sound good, who cares?

I like the look of the new CA stuff. Even the older stuff (before they found the shift key on their keyboards) has its own charm.
