Nearing decision! DT880 vs AKG Q701

Hi Guys

So nearing a decision on my headphones now. I have it narrowed down to AKG Q701 vs the Beyerdynamic DT880 600 Ohm.

Uses will be Gaming, Movies and Music, So far the Beyer seems to be the one im leaning towards. What do you guys think?

Will be driven through the LX83 AV

I have a pair of DT880's and think they are brilliant. You're not swamped by bass, but it's defintely there, so I find them ideal for all types of listening. They are also very comfortable.

So one for the DT880's. Seems to be the one at the moment, everyone I have spoken to rates them highly!

Anybody else care to chip in or perhaps suggest other headsets?

I have some AKG K702's and they are superb! I've not heard the beyerdynamic's.

I have the Q701s and they are fantastic headphones. But they need a decent dedicated headphone amp to sound their best.

I've not heard the DT 880s but the DT 990 pro get an excellent right up and will save you a few pounds, have a read...
