Couldn't really find anything on this so here goes.
Went to RS on Thursday to demo the Azur 651a, k2 and pm6004 and took my brio r along for the ride. To cut a long story short the brio trounced the 651 and 6004 and I preferred it to the k2's overly eager top end. I wanted to like the 651 due to it's USB, sub out and ability to control apple devices with the navigator remotes. Anyway I left and went down to Sevenoaks and ended listening to the nad 356 and I was shocked to hear it beat my brio r. I really need a headphone socket but don't want an headphone amp. Nad 352 are like gold dust at the moment, a couple of 355 have popped up but in the wrong colour and 356 are more than I wish to pay for a new amp.
Heard the 352 and preferred the rega overall, better detail but not as deep but the 356 edged the brio in turn. To my ears the 356 is a better amp than the 352, a question I've long wondered about.
