Well, thanks to all your well wishes I feel better and can breathe again, kind of.
The first thing I did was suck on an interconnect. I can taste the superior quality braiding now.
I then proceeded to dust behind the hifi and think that I inadvertedly removed long accumulated static. The result of which is that I can almost hear all frequencies my system is capable of re-producing.
I will now polish the batteries in my Remote Controls and all should be well again.
