Hi,

Would a b1 do my AVI Neutron 3s justice or do I need to stop being a pikey and spend some real money?

All answers mutch appreciated.

Ashley of AVI once told me that my Neutron IVs ideally needed 100 watts per channel to drive them.

The B1 is - I believe - only 35 watts - so maybe you could try the B200 at 60 watts instead. I have not heard these amps but would imagine they are quite warm sounding and therefore a good match with the Neutrons.

Having said all that I am a pikey cheapskate too and use a 40 watt Creek 4330 amp bought on eBay for about a ton. Sounds bloody good to me with my Dacmagic linked up through a Musical Fidelity X10D tube buffer.
