http://www.flickr.com/photos/indyjase/sets/72157622905974716/ this is the latest incarnation!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/indyjase/sets/72157622906086018/ My first attempt

http://www.flickr.com/photos/indyjase/sets/72157622781774559/ The temp setup

http://www.flickr.com/photos/indyjase/sets/72157622906157314/ the living room previous setup which had to be torn out due to remodelling!!!

All of my attempts have been made with basically buggerall money and a bunch of imagination as well as a good dose of trial and error. Let me know what you think. Thanks. I posted the links as it was a nightmare getting the pics up.

I got the AV bug when I was about 12 from my dad as he got an AKAI surround sound VCR and spent every movie fiddling to get the sound right (AHHH so thats where I get it from!!!!) and that was about 20 years or more ago and slowly over time have built numerous systems and changed everything so many times its crazy. Sometimes made good changes and sometimes not....Should never have sold that yammy A2 that was a brilliant amp. After a while getting into projectors, then finally on to a flat panel. Mainly due to the WAF factor on that last one, but there you go. The systems that I have posted on here, I had to do all of the installs on little to no money and as each one progresses you can really see my DIY skills improving LOL!!!! Well it gives me something to do as well as learning new stuff. A lot has changed from the days of plugging in with a scart lead and a phono lead for surround to streaming movies in HD throughout the house and HDMI... Thanks for looking Jase

Thanks a lot mate. Its amazing what you can do when you have to use your imagination due to budget restrictions. The latest room was a good example of that. The rack was make from reclaimed wood from my barn. The surround for the rack is left over hardwood flooring. As the wall is made from plaster board I just repositioned the studs from behind the wall, cut a hole and mounted the rack either side of the beams and to tidy the edges put on the outside surround. I also made all of the speaker stands as well.
