hi all,

I was hoping you may be able to offer me some advice. I have just placed an order for a PIONEER LX5090 plasma screen and am now looking for good HDMI cable.

I have narrowed it down to two cables.

The monster seems to have teh better shielding and build quality. The notes on the 14GBs looks very attractive too. But I was wondering if any of you guys have had experience with Monstar cables? I use Chord interconnects and are really amazing but they do not disclose information about the tech aspects of there cable so not sure what to go for. I can get them for approx the same price.

I hope some of you experts may be able to help me out.

I'd go for the Chord - it's a known quantity (I have two). I have no experience with the Monster HDMI cable but I've read on many forums people who think you can get better for the money for most of their cables.

Go for a chord silver. Made a difference to mine anyways (I originally used a QED)

Monsters tend to be pretty good (Their scarts are very good) but they've had a LOT of bad press about their digital cables recently and as theyve resulted to LYING id much rather everyone decided against buying ANYTHING of theirs to be honest.
