From reviews i can find  RX1 to be warm in nature, will it work with a warm amp onkyo tx8255.

i am looking for a good balance/timing and space, details in not concern,  for drumming oriented music, heavy rock/metal mp3 listening.

i had liked BR2 before but not considering going back to it.

I think the M/A RX1's are superb speakers and will do in a range of systems but you need to demo; it's the only way you'll find out whether they're right for you.

Dont go on other peoples opinions as your hearing is different to everyone elses!

You may find that theyre not for you but the likes of the Dali Lektor 2's or the B&W 685's suit!

The RX1's are quite an upgrade on the BR2's, but do audition them with the amp of your choice - the RX1's are already quite laid back, so driving them with an amp of a similar nature will produce a relatively dull sound. For me, the RX1's sound better with more neutral sounding amplifiers ike the Rotels.
