Just thought I'd take time to introduce me and my system.
My name's John and I live in a small village on the outskirts of sunny Blackpool, Lancashire
My primary system comprises a Technics SL-P777 CD player, a late-build Cyrus 2 amplifier & matching Cyrus Tuner, Mission M73 floor-standing speakers and an occasional-use Thoren's TD160 turntable with Ortofon MC3 Turbo cartridge.
The equipment is connected with Chord interconnects and linked to the speakers with QED speaker cable.
As you can see, my system is strictly retro with the 21st century only (just) represented by the speakers!
I enjoy a wide range of music. Just about the only types of music which say nothing to me are opera, rap and what currently passes as 'R&B' (sadly it's not the R&B my generation knew!). I have a leaning towards ambient and electronic 'new age' by the likes of Vangelis and Jean-Michel Jarre, but other than the aforementioned three definite no-nos, I'm prepared to give anything a listen.
I am currently looking to replace my CD player.
Thanks for reading!
