looking at getting a projector.

I am currently looking at getting a projector but I'm going crazy looking at all the different options and have narrowed it down two at the moment. The two being the optoma hd141x and the epson eh6100 the projector is going to be roughly 3m from the screen and about 5ft of the floor which of the two would suit this distance and height. I am looking at getting a 96" screen would I be able to get this picture size from a distance of 3m. Can anyone sway me one way or the other or recommend any other possibilities and any general information on projectors.

p.s going to be used mainly for films and sport

What's your maximum budget?

I've seen the the epson at £750 so I'd say no more than £800

If you are new to projectors, then this model is probably ideal for you http://benq.co.uk/product/projector/w2000/ as it requires minimal adjustment to get a great picture.

Got to be BenQ W1080ST+ at that budget.

The contrast ratios being lower are they not inferior or are they numbers used by the companies to push products. As the Optoma has 23000:1 against the BenQ which has 10000:1. Is it other features of the projectors that make them more desirable.

The projector I mentioned is £750 at Richer Sounds, so is the same as the epson you mentioned in your post, as well as being under the £800 top limit you mentioned.
