Live Vinyl Albums

One of the best live recordings on vinyl I have ever heard is Neil Young 'Massey Hall 1971' out on the Reprise label.

Superbly recorded with absolutely no surface noise.

Also Grateful Dead 'Live Dead' on Mobile Fidelity

Antonio Forcione Quartet in Concert on the Naim Label.

Nina Simone 'At Town Hall' on Four Men with Beards label

I do like a bit of variety I do. :)

Oh, and Bert Jansch 'Young Man Blues- Live in Glasgow' Stamford Audio Limited edition.

Wahoo!!

Just bought Japan - Oil on Canvas

Sounds great its 30 yrs old

Just checked to see if I have it, but alas, no. I do have Japan-Live In Japan, but I've never played it, but the wife is away, so it might well get a premiere spinning tonight.

I've just got my LPs down rom the loft and am waiting for a turntable to arrive so I can't say I'm currently listening to, but by the weekend I will be listening to:

Rush - Exit Stage Left (IMO the best phase for Rush songs)

Queen - Live Killers

Motorhead - No Sleep til Hammersmith

Dire Straits - Alchemy.

To whet my whistle, I watched Alchemy on DVD last night from Lovefilm - they don't do VHS tapes unfortunately.

Just bought Joe Bonamassa 'An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House'.

Liked it so much on CD I went and bought the LP giving the CD to my brother.

How's the sound quality of your vinyl copy? I've had problems with my copy, but bought on hols in France so can't take it back.

Fish - Live at the Leamington Spa Convention. I was there for both days, he played Grendel for the first time in 30 years.
Did you see it 30 years ago? I bet this time he did not lift a member of the audience into the air one handed!
