but that expedit was quite large... The 4 or 8 squares can hold on quite good with heavy loads!

There is a replacement, which looks a bit nicer to be honest.

i've read the link news and watched the home makeover movie!

it will be a phased transition, lets hope that the new line will be as good as the Expedit line...

ATM there's plenty of Expedit stock even in German IKEA stores. I checked in panic yesterday.

New Ikea Kallax actually look much better to me than Expedit.

All of the Expedit sizes will not be available with Kallax:

there will be no more 1x1, 5x5 and 1x5,

there will still be 2x4 and 4x4

and the new 1x4. (No new 1x2 though.)

There will be some new colors - they look lame to me, but the units look more chic and consume a bit less space.

I will be buying some (Expedit) in April and I regret, that Kallax will only be available in Germany - I probably should start new facebook group: give us new Kallax NOW!

I might even wait for the Kallax to arrive in my vicinity. :doh: Don't know anything about pricing. :?

Not better or not worse, is quite the same to be honest, just 1,5cm narrower in each side that the Expedit.
