KEF 1005s vs Yamaha NS110

I have the Yamaha package linked to a Denon 1707 amp. Reasonably pleased with what I get for the budget I paid (£260ish all in) but, as we all do, I want better sound.

I have seen the Kef package advertised at under £200. Would this give me a substantially improved sound. Would it 'dismiss the walls of the room' and give me better bass?

I would think the bass would come down to the sub.......Kef should be better I would have thought, if you're comparing the standard supplied with each HTK
