kandy or cyrus

wondering if someone can help me out.

i have a kandy k2 amp which would be

best with this the kandy k2 cd or the

cyrus cd6 se

i'd say you definitely have to compare yourself. i had the cd6se on home demo a couple of months ago, and after initially thinking wow, really dynamic and punchy with great treble, i ended up feeling fatigued. it seemed, to me, that the sound was just relentless and a little forced. this was with a primare i30 and my focus 110's. i'm not saying i thought it was rubbish or anything like that, but i think you should listen to it first, preferably for a few hours at least.

i was comparing it to a roksac caspian cdp, the cyrus had better punch, impact and treble, vocals sounded great too. the caspian had more bass detail, and i thought the music gelled a bit better, i thought with the primare and focus's though that the treble was too warm sounding. both were better then my kandy cdp.

Both CDP's are superb but at that price range; dont rule out the Rega Apollo either!

What kind of music do you listen to and what are your speakers?

Rega Apollo is an excellent cd player it works well with my Roksan amp.
