It's that time again, folks...

We're seeking three hi-fi/home cinema enthusiasts to come and join us for the day for our regular Big Question feature.
It takes place on Tuesday, 30th March.

If you're interested in taking a seat on the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision readers' couch, please email me (charlie.ghagan@haymarket.com) and I can provide further details. It's always proved a fun and interesting day, with lots of good kit issues to chew over.

It starts about 11am and we’ll take you out for a pub lunch here in Teddington in between looking at some great AV kit in our state-of-the-art testing rooms. And, of, course, you’ll get your picture and words in the June issue of our mag!

You can read a previous Big Question here.

Any questions, either post here or drop me an email.

Cheers,
Charlie

Be aware that it is also

International Red Dwarf Status Day here on Facebook on Tuesday,
March 30th, so join in the fun and help spread the word about your fave
show! http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=407848761170

Cat: Whats going to happen to everybody in the reality we
left? The guys all watching us on T.V?

Kryten: Well, they will continue to exist as a consequence of
us creating them in our hallucination, sir. Its quantum mechanics,
every decision that is made creates a new universe, as do all dreams and
hallucinations, its multi-verse 1.0.1.

Rimmer: But those sad suckers will live out the rest of their
lives convinced they're the real ones and we are characters from a T.V
show.

Lister: And you know if you tell them the truth, you know
what they would probably do?

Rimmer: Laugh.

Lister: Yeah. [They all snigger] They probably would.

Hi canada16,

We need to do the Big Question in our bespoke testing rooms down here in Teddington. But there's always the annual Sound & Vision Show in Bristol - not too far away from you.

Sorry, True Blue - thanks for the offer but it's important we have different people each month.

Hi Charlie

I'd love to come but I need more notice than that. Do you always have the same day of the month. then I could try to plan ahead for a future occasion

Cheers

Hi I'm free on the 30th sounds like a fund day out I have only just registered on this forum but have read What HI FI magazine many times over the years. Other than enjoying HiFi and AV and siting on the couch is there anything else you would like to know about me? I shall see if I can fill in a profile on the forum giving you a bit more background on my equipment history etc.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Andy

March 30th session is now full. Thanks for all the responses.

Andy, visionary - I've put you on the mailing list for future issues (Joel, I'm pretty sure you're already on it).

To answer your question, visionary, unfortunately we're unable to do the Big Question on the same date each month as it depends on our schedule. As we produce 13 issues a year, naturally the date changes from month to month. And only once we've completed an issue can we arrange a day for the next session, as it takes a fair bit of organisation. We do try to give up to two weeks' notice though, so hopefully we can get you in at some point.

If JD is at the next one, i,ll bring a guitar and we can have a jam

Then you could review some live music for a change.

Whinge time, it doesn't really help being on the mailing list when the email goes out an hour AFTER the request goes on the forum...

How very out of character...

I can't tell if you're taking the mick or being sarcastic. I'll have a whinge occasionally, that's why I started the post with those words but I didn't think I complained that often. I certainly don't complain to or about the magazine anything like as much as a lot of people do.

I can be removed from the mailing list for the Big Question.

I don't have any whinge. My problem is that I have to give at least 2 months notice before booking any leave. Also I work to a shift pattern so the probability of one of my free days coinciding with a Big Question day is very low.

Thanks for all the invitations so far though Charlie. They were appreciated even though circumstances prevented me from accepting.

Andrew Everard:Neither: I was just commenting that it was very out of character for you to whinge.

Oh. Errrr, ok. I'll take your word for it then.
