Have got a Eee Pc. Running Spotify through an Airport Express with no problems. Havent yet got round to getting NAS. Have a desktop on which I've stored all my music in Apple Lossless. If I leave desktop on, I can play the music through netbook speakers ok but have no artwork. If I click on the coverflow button nothing happens.

Do I have to point iTunes in a particular direction or could I copy artwork folder and save it on netbook and iTunes would automatically add the artwork?

Nope, iTunes shared libraries are seriously useless, you can't see the artwork. You could use the new 'home sharing' feature in iTunes 9, but that copies everything onto your netbook and I'm guessing you haven't got the space...

I take it once I get a NAS, I transfer all my music to it along with the artwork folder and point iTunes at it, artwork should then be available?

Should do yes. On your main machine, change the location of your iTunes library to the NAS, and do a consolidate library. Then all your files will be on your NAS and iTunes will know where it is. Then on the other machines, do a file/import on all the files on the NAs - the files will stay there, but your other iTunes library will know where they are. That should do it.

That makes sense. Im getting the NAS in a couple of weeks. No doubt I'll have further questions but I'll try it and get back here if needs be.

Cheers.

Just noticed your post now. The Eee is great. It's running everything I have on my Dell quad-core desktop. The thing i notice slower is when openig programs it's takes that little bit longer than the desktop. Plus if you try to do a number of things at once it can take a sec to catch up but overall Im very pleased with it. You would have got yours by now, how are you liking it?
