hiI wonder if its time for the PM6007 & CD6007 to become the 6008 sometime soon?
hiI looked up the release dates of the last few iterations, according to Mr Google:
PM/CD6004 Aug 2011
PM/CD 6005 Sept 2013
PM/CD 6006 May 2016
PM/CD 6007 Aug 2020
So at least timewise due for a change although I'm sure many other factors may influence this.
PM/CD6004 Aug 2011
PM/CD 6005 Sept 2013
PM/CD 6006 May 2016
PM/CD 6007 Aug 2020
hiI question whether they will bother at all, and whether it's truly cost effective for them in the current market.
I've not had a Marantz amp yet but had the CD6004 for years until I changed it for a CD6007 last year because of its hi res capability, it might sound a teeny bit better.hi
so should be on the way
i have never liked the plastic cheapy knobs and and the front lateral plastic cover
but i think they will not change it
so there are 6 years
for my ears they sound pretty the same, what do you think?
That's what I was thinking. How many more improvements can they make and how cost effective would they be? I suppose that hi fi companies like to refresh their products regularly otherwise they look old and outdated? Also, if stock is running low I suppose you may as well make some changes rather than doing another production run of an 'old' product.I question whether they will bother at all, and whether it's truly cost effective for them in the current market.
