Is 18 awg speaker cable ok for 1.5m lengths

Would a 12 Awg cable make a noticeable difference to an 18 awg cable. Can I get away with 26 awg cables. I only ask as I've heard in theory it shouldn't make too much of a difference and it just allows me a greater selection of all copper cables to choose from.

Thanks for the chart. I just threw in the 26 awg, minimum I'd personally look at is 18 awg. It appears there's no difference between 18 and 10 awg at 5 ft speaker length, I was tempted to use monoprice or van damme
