Clare Newsome:
Sorry the hummingbird is dive-bombing you.. I'll mention it to our commercial team.

As for, erm, interesting ads.... We've been finding some corkers in old issues of WHF as we search out content for our new 'I Remember When' feature on the inside-back page.

Most recent find was this Teac ad from @10 years ago:

I preferred the "Seriously Well Equipped" ad, the only advert I can recall that used the words "D-Cup" to sell you Hi-Fi. TEAC obviously believed they knew their intended market.

What about the Acoustic Energy "Au Naturel" ads for the AE100 series (circa 97?). With the nice young lady wearing nothing just to extol the virtues of the speaker's cabinets?

Or the DALI advert which had an obviously fit young lady stretched across the speakers?

Ah! they don't make ads like they used to, probably a good thing.

[EDITED BY MODS - HOUSE RULES - though nice try!]

Hah! Was an ad for discontinued, out of production product (10 years+!) aaaand WHF themselves printed it, after much debate if I remember rightly! Ho hum, nevermind... Now where's that Hawkeye system for dodgy calls... ;)
