I'm looking to buy a pair of in-ear headphones for use with my iPhone 3GS, and I want a pair that have good sound, and have a remote so I can control the iPod function, including Voice Control, for a budget of £50 - £100. I have Sennheiser CX300 at the moment, and I'm looking for a definite step up in audio quality.

From what I can see, the choice is as follows (though I'm not 100% on depth of compatibility with iPhone controls):

- Bose Mobile In-Ear

- Comply NR-10i

- Etymotic HF2

- Klipsch Image S4i

- Scosche IDR650m

- Sennheiser MM50 iP

- Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5vi

- V-Moda Vibe II

Some of these have 4 star reviews, others no reviews at all, but I'd really like user's opinion, or a group test???

Many thanks.

I got my iPhone early November, and made a list similar to your own. I ended up plumping for the s4i's, and I'm not disappointed. I've never been a great fan of inner ear headphones, but have found these very comfortable, and the sound quality has been more than adequate for my musical tastes. Outside noise can be quite audible, but I don't find that a problem. The remote has all the functionality of the bundled buds, though it is more cumbersome, and have had no complaints from the microphone, even if I've been walking in heavy traffic.

Bought mine from Amazon, as they were the cheapest, at around £70, at the time. Hope this helps.

I too was upgrading from old CX300's... I have a pair of Shure's SE110 for long-hauls / very noisy environments but wanted something with a remote (ideal for walking).

I opted for the Klipsch S4i's and am not disappointed. In fact, I think they're great. Considerably better than the CX300's and a comfortable fit. Sadly I can't offer much of a comparison.
