Bluetooth headphones?

Hello what-hifi community !

I really need help with finding a good, not too pricy pair of bluetooth headphones. I used to be against over ears all my life and I so far own Sennheiser CX 3.00, Sennheiser Momentum in ear and 1More Triple Driver, as my headphones being portable always was a must, but now that bluetooth headphones started coming in my country, I'm really interested in buying a pair, but I'm having a hard time finding a decent pair under 200Euros. I've been looking at Senn HD 4.40 but so far I've heard only mixed reviews, and I've listened to a friends' Sony MDR 950BT and to be honest I found them sounding really bad, as I could hardly hear anything over the bass.

What I'm looking for in headphones is clarity mostly. I listen to very different genres, but I'm usually into acoustics and piano, and sometimes trap, but as long as its there I don't need any real punchy bass, I basically just want clear highs and mids, with ok lows. I really don't want to spend more than 200, but if it is a must and it can last a long time, I could go a bit higher. Thank you all in advance.

EDIT : And of course I would like them to isolate a bit at least, as I mostly use headphones for commuting.

Clarity and commuting are at odds with each other. Perhaps you can explain.

What do you mean ? 😀 I'd like them to isolate quite well, and by clarity I mean I prefer less bass if it makes the voice sound like its far away. A good example are my momentums, they sound really well and the bass doesn't push the vocals behind

I'm sorry I'm not quite sure how to explain as English is my second language, but i'm not in a hurry so whenever you have the time

Clarity, that is to say hi-fi clarity, requires less background noise. But commuting adds much more background noise. When I read your original post, I assumed you would need a noise-canceling headphone. It would not be good to be fighting against the noise by just raising the volume level, because that adds damage to your ears.

Ooook, then I suppose I do need noise cancelling, I didn't know the feature had a name. I looked up and the HD 4.50BTNC seemed to have good praise around that, but sound is said to be average

I've gotten very average sound in several £700 headphones, so buying expensive does not always help. Cheaper might be good, and the first thing I do is check the Amazon U.S. and Amazon U.K. reviews. When you find something interesting, click on the reviews, then click on 'All' reviews (not just verified) and then click sort by most recent first. Sometimes I click to see the one-star and two-star and three-star reviews first, to see if the people who found severe problems are legitimate. Sometimes they are not, but it just takes time to go through it.

Well I'd try but all those reviews about the sound I don't know how to compare them. Some say its good, some say its bad, I'm trying to compare them to my Momentums, as I love those. Other than that I really don't care much about design or many features, just good sound, noise cancelling and bluetooth

You asked for clarity, and most of the reviews on Amazon U.S. (more than 90 percent) liked the sound pretty well and said it was more mids-centric, which adds to the clarity.

If you don't mind having wearing the plastic neck-thing, the QC30s are really quite good, and hit around the €200 mark. What do you think?

Bluetooth means that the music is converted to a low fidelity form anyway, so is it worth spending much? (From what I have read, BT can send hifi sound, as long as both the receiver and transmitter agree and can handle it, but in practice I suspect it usually goes down to MP3.)

It sure varies according to who makes it. But I've heard good AptX Bluetooth that's as good as or better than the best MP3's, although it's not CD quality yet. CDs run at about 1400 kbps, while the best MP3s are 320 kbps - about 4.4 times compressed. I think the best AptX can transmit somewhere around 450 kbps, but that's just a guess. It's good enough IMO for any outdoor use, but then there are people who will tell you they can hear a fly buzzing in a hurricane, so there you go.

I got two bluetooth one recently and one is pi duet and one is onemore. The previous one is a new one and may not famous than onemore. However, I think it is better than onemore as the function are various and also provide a good deep bass experience for me.
