Hi.

Need a bit of advice with an amp problem.

It sounds like my integrated amplifier has a problem with one of the channels. On one side the sound produced is probably about1/5 of what it should be. The overall effect is like listening to music through one speaker, so pretty pointless!

The amp in question is a marantz PM66se, so getting on for being 10 years old.

Is it usual to expect an amp to go after having it this long, or do you think it would be worth looking into getting it repaired?

Would love a new amp, and am sure there are products out there that perform similarly for not much cost, but just want to explore all options!

Thanks for any help offered.

TBH, the amount you would need to give someone to service/fix it, would be close to a new amp. Richer Sounds are still doing the PM6002 for £215, but be quick, as price rises are on the way!
