Hi All

Just a bit of fun if money were no object what system would be all choose for both hi-fi and home cinema please list seperately i am really interested to know? it would be good if the whsav team joined in also, i have been buying what hi-fi since the early 80's and have nearly every issue its a great mag thanks to the team, my missus wouldnt agree though they take up a room on thier own lol

scarlati cd player dac and clock unit @ £33k /4x krell evolution 600 @£12.900 each/ krell evolution 2 preamp and power suply £alot!
and b&w nautilus or jamo reference r909 as for cables and interconnect i am lost in the many possibiliteies

Excellent reply i was looking at the scarletti my self in this months mag, and i would love to own it also, i would go for the B&W in this case, thank you for replying

dCS Scarlatti Transport/DAC/Clock - I have been listening to this setup quite a lot, stunning. It doesn't instantly make you think WOW! but over time it has you drawn in hook line and sinker... Man I love dCS... (Hence I own their cheapo 6 grand player!)

Spectral 30 Pre/250 Power - The most natural and transparent amplifiers I've heard. Stunning! Work wonderfully with the dCS. I may upgrade from my Accuphase to a 15pre/100power one day. Spectral make the best amplifiers in existence IMO.

Avalon Sentinel Speakers - Never heard these but the 17k Indras are awesome, so I'm sure the Sentinels will more than suffice.

MIT Oracle cabling

Same supports and Mains I'm using now (MusicWorks)

To top it off a purpose built room with it's own mains, miles away from disturbing anyone with storage for about 10000CDs, all in alphabetic order.

Other than that, I'm quite happy with the system I have!
