If you've made money, then I think you've done the right thing because the panny oled would have lost loads on its depriciation.

this is the best move You have made Gel because 6k was and is a lot of money for a tv...

duplicate - might as well use it

I dont blame the guy for scracthing the itch - but to sell the best TV around on the eve of the new format with discs already bought and a player pre-orderd thats the madness part. thats an itch you will now never scratch unless you are keeping it for another month or 2 time for some proper discs to start coming out

It depends. Gel would've been better off not buying the Panasonic at all, I'm sure he would've saved a lot more money that way. I'm pretty certain he has lost enough money on the Panasonic, which is the budget for some 55-inch TVs for some people. His savings are based on the fact that the LG is cheaper. The reason for selling the Panasonic was something very easily sorted in settings.

Only time will tell if it was a sensible move, given that the LG E6 is coming and if he's able to resist the urge to buy it.

Where you getting you LG from Gel and is it brand new or second hand? Where did you sell you Panny to
Got the brand new LG from Selfridges, and sold my Panasonic on eBay.

Can someone provide a summary of what's happened please? (I blinked and there were about 45 new updates in here.)
I bought and sold another TV! *biggrin*

Gel sells and buys TV's faster than you can blink - so your not alone in missing the info.

SonofSJ has been quiet - he will be outraged and will be lecturing Gel shortly on his wrong doings.......

Gel you should have bought this and had a proper TV for once

I sold mine for half that calibrated - doh!!

I have been only messing for people reading btw - no offense intended for 50" tv owners just some banter.

By the looks of where you sit 65" is barely big enough tucked right up in the corner - get your TV central and up higher as Buzz was on about before.

If its up on the wall there is less chance of you wanting to take it down to sell it as well so it would be a double win

Yes, but that would assume that actually using the TV was the reason for buying it, when in fact the real purpose is just to keep on buying things. Oh, and then bragging about them online.

I'm sure I said, during the initial 'beast-buying' euphoria, that I'd give it a week, and was assured that no, this time this was the TV for life, the keeper. [shrugs] Told you so.

If gel ever decides to fall in love with something not sold in the John Lewis electrical department, I'm going to start training as a divorce lawyer. ;-)

i agree BB he shouldn't have bought it in the first place. However, he has done the right thing now because any later, he would have lost more money.

to be honest, the panny is the best TV available now and I would love this tv but it's not worth the money, a projector is a better investment for me and I'm sure you would agree.

Gel, are you saying you've made money because you have purchased the the Lg 950 or have you sold the panny for more than you have paid for it?

I bought mine, brand new from Richer Sounds, for two grand - not the three grand advertised on eBay (which it certainly isn't worth now, unless someone with an itchy trigger finger, a hyperactive credit card and who has escaped from care sees it) - in December 2014. Oh, and I still have it, and will continue to have it for at least the next five years, if it doesn't fall over.

I had that TV once already!

No, you didn't, gel. You had the 50-inch version, which you sold to bigboss, who still has it. Please be accurate.

I sold the Panny near what I paid for it and bought the LG a lot less.
