The LG 65EF950V that I mentioned in post #557 sold for £2,650. In the last ten seconds, the price went from £2,150 to £2,600, with someone else beating that by £50 to win.

I wish that I had your special 3D transaction glasses so that I too could see what's happening. I did earlier ask you for the link to the item .....
Seeing things I think but I have just cancelled my order for the LG and am now waiting for the new ones, which are out 22 April and mid May.Son_of_SJ said:Gel, at about 8:40 this morning did you briefly change your signature back to the Panasonic 65CZ950 OLED? Or was I seeing things??
Yep, can't wait now. I would like to buy from John Lewis if possible. Does anyone know the weight of the G6 65-inches? TaSon_of_SJ said:No, I defintely wasn't seeing things. And I've just taken a screen save of one of your posts in the http://www.whathifi.com/forum/tvs-and-projectors/lg-oled65g6p-hdr-oled-t... thread, which is still showing the Panasonic 65CZ950 is your signature. I had thought that when you changed your signature, the new signature showed on all your previous postings, but What Hi-Fi is having a few problems just now.
Anyway, more importantly, if you just couldn't get on with the Panasonic 65CZ950, then fair enough. But then choosing an LG 65EF950V, which was certainly inferior to the Panasonic, made no sense at all. At least if you are now going to wait for the 2016 LGs, the E6 and G6 which the main man at James Morrow said were clearly better than the EF950V series from last year, that would have some merit.
Good point.rocketrazor said:why dont you go for the E6, you don't need the sound bar and aren't they the same but for the soundbar?
Cheers!Son_of_SJ said:That's exactly what they've been saying on AVForums. See posts #125 to #128 of this thread https://www.avforums.com/threads/report-lg-launch-new-g6-e6-c6-and-b6-oled-tvs-with-dolby-vision.2022034/page-5 before Mr Steve Withers gives the authoritative answer in post #139. James Morrow in Edinburgh said that the E6 series was very, very good.
By the way, quickly following are posts #141 to #143, where Steve Kemp (Bumtious) says that he upgrades quickly, and will be selling his existing LG EF950V in favour of the new E6, so it's certainly good for Gel to wait just a very few weeks! And on the next page there is a long explanation, and some pretty pictures, in post #160.
I am seriously hoping it will last me 7 years or so. My money is going down so I can't afford any more purchases. Waiting a while seems a good idea though. Cheers.chebby said:Why not wait until all this tech has dropped in price and save £'000s?
Gel, seriously, for how long will the new E6, G6 (or whatever) last you?
I hope you are going to say "until the technology gets overtaken by 8K in a few years time", or something else that's vaguely sensible, rather than ... "when I next wake up" or ... "when anyone on a forum raises a scintilla of doubt about the pre-eminence of my truly excellent television even though I love it".
