How to upscale Sky SD programmes with Denon 2310?

Sorry guys, but here's another basic question (the Denon manual ain't that user friendly is it!).

My Sky HD box is connected to the Denon via HDMI and optical cable for audio. I've read that the Philips 9664's upscaling is a little 'soft'. I'd therefore like to try upscaling via the Denon.

When watching Sky, what settings do I need to ensure that the Denon is upscaling SD programmes to 1080i rather than having the Philips TV do it?

You will need to set the Sky+HD box to 'Auto' and ask the Denon to upscale. You will have to decide for yourself whether this is better or worse than your TV. I have read reports of banding and of the video signal being delayed when upscaling is switched on.

What I'm trying to find out is the precise setting(s) on the Denon that will achieve this. The user manual's a mare!
